SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Roger R. Wade was born on the island of Trinidad in the West Indies. He was educated in Trinidad, New York, Maryland, and at Oakwood College (now University) in Huntsville Alabama.
Pastor Roger has a passion for the church's most precious resource - the youth. He has worked in Youth Ministries for 42 years leading out as AY leader to Union Youth Director and served as the first Director of the National Black Youth Resource Center, which was on the campus of Oakwood College (now University) in Huntsville, Alabama.
Since his call to the organized church in 1998, Pastor Roger has served the Northeastern Conference, Southern California, Southwest Region Conference, South Central Conference, and Mid-American Union Conference; and as of April 1, 2021, he returned to the South Central Conference to serve as the Communications and Public Relations Director. In July 2003, Pastor Roger was duly ordained to the work of the gospel ministry. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God has used him to date to baptize over 850 persons.
Pastor Roger teaches, preaches, writes, as well as produces, and coordinates many large meetings and events and volunteers on numerous community Board of Directors. His recent joy is being one of the hosts on the Pastors’ Round Table – a weekly online show where discussions deal with ministry being relevant, resourced, and real.
Pastor Roger is married to the former Lorraine Lawrence of Neptune, New Jersey. They have one young adult son: Anthony Roger Richard Wade.
